attribute NC_GLOBAL summary String This dataset includes depths measured from a boat, using multi-beam and single-beam echo sounders. It is also possible to consult the other datasets on different themes related to the WISE-man project (intertidal environment, optical, biogeochemical). The WaterSat Imaging Spectrometer Experiment (WISE) is developed for optically shallow inland and coastal waters assessment. The WISE-Man project objective was to demonstrate the potential of hyperspectral imagery for mapping bathymetry, water column quality (or inherent optical properties) and retrieve bottom properties; this in order to respond to the pressing needs of science (e.g. ecology, geomorphology, coastal risk), resource management and defense operation. Within the framework of WISE-Man, an intensive fieldwork campaign was conducted in the Manicouagan; Baie-Comeau region in August 2019.

Le projet de télédétection hyperspectrale des eaux côtières peu profondes à l’aide du capteur WISE (WaterSat Imaging Spectrometer Experiment;projet WISE-Man) a comme objectif de démontrer le potentiel de l'imagerie hyperspectrale pour dériver des données de bathymétrie, de qualité de l'eau (et des propriétés optiques inhérentes) ainsi que des propriétés du substrat. Ces données peuvent ensuite servir à des besoins scientifiques (écologie, géomorphologie, risques côtiers), à la gestion des ressources ainsi qu'aux opérations de défense. Dans le contexte du projet WISE-Man, une campagne-terrain intensive a été réalisée dans la région de Manicouagan; Baie-Comeau en août 2019.
